list of top {repeat} movies
This little girl, about four or five years old, came into the shop today singing in her little mini-mouse voice,
“yodela, yodela, yodela – he who”
It made me want to run to the middle of the shop and twirl around in a circle with my arms out singing, “The hills are alive with the sound of music.”
Love that movie.
So in honor of this incredibly cute girl, I have decided to post my top list of repeat movies. And by repeat movies, I mean the ones I like to watch over and over – and over – and over – and over, again. And over again. If you get my drift.
Top Repeat Movies (in no particular order)
Dirty Dancing {nobody puts Baby in a corner}
The Sound of Music
Mary Poppins {totally need a shirt or big sign that reads, “Practically perfect in every way”} Music – A spoon full of sugar makes the medicine go down . . .
Pure Country {the best romantic film, possible ever}
Ace Ventura – both movies {one day I want to be able to deliver a package and kick it down the hallway}
Romancing the Stone {like romance novels? you’ll love this one}
Die Hard – ALL OF THEM {love Bruce Willis – he’s hot}
Star Wars – the original four, I think, are better than the new ones, but they are good too
Space Balls – because my stepson reminds me of that four foot Darth Vadar imitator
10 Things I Hate About You {how come all schools don’t look like this?}
How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days
The Breakup – sadly every single person I know wanted my husband and I to see this because it reminded them of us; still a good movie
Hope Floats
Aladin – my favorite Disney movie
Transformers
28 Days {Sandra Bullock} And while I am on the Sandra Bullock list, I also like The Lake House, Speed {only the first one}, Miss Congeniality
Wow, this list could go on for days. And maybe I will continue it later, but for now I will just add one more that I just saw and would love to see again.
(don’t read the next paragraph if you haven’t seen the movie – Knocked up – I give away a small part of the ending)
Knocked Up – even though they use the F word a lot more than I am used to, and I am a total cusser, I still really like this movie. I love happy endings. And I love that they took two people who are completely messed up and totally wrong for each other and made it work. Oh crap, I just ruined the ending for those who haven’t seen it. Sorry, but it made me feel nostalgic. I can relate to two people who are totally wrong for each other. Not to mention, every time I see a pregnant lady, I think, “That should have been me right about now.”
