new years resolutions, gulp
Those words bring terror to my thoughts - new years resolutions. Want to run. Want to hide. Bad word association. Too much pressure. Too much guilt. Can’t possibly accomplish. Gasp. Can’t go on . . .
I prefer to call them goals. Makes me feel so much better. I can handle that word.
So here goes -
and in no particular order -
Be happy, have fun and don’t take myself so seriously
Don’t sweat the small stuff
If I can’t change it/fix it/control it, move on and don’t get upset about it.
Enjoy my free time. If necessary, perfect the art of doing nothing. love this article
Build on my hobbies - go the distance (did you see the movie “Field of Dreams“? LOL) step 1: take some cool camera classes
Have a real savings account where I/we don’t dip into it every month
Get rid of the “stuff” in my life. Don’t buy or acquire more “stuff”. (ie: declutter) Repeat: I do not need that. I do not need that.
Be nicer. Don’t have to say all the sarcastic things that come to mind. Some of them sound much nicer and funnier in my head (keep it that way).
Buy some heels, lond dangly earrings and have at least one cute purse (check, hubby got me the cutest small purse for Christmas) (this kind of competes with the one listed two above, doesn’t it? damn. oh well.)
