migraine hell
As I was driving home I realized that I had a headache nagging in the back right side of my head. It was a small throbbing. Nothing to be alerted about. Yet, it wouldn’t go away.
When I got home, hubby was so psyched about going out that I couldn’t bear to tell him I had a headache. Thankfully I was rescued and he went out with a guy friend.
A little after he left it raged into a full blown migraine. Ugh, the pain.
Just in case you don’t have migraines. They are like being completely drunk to the point of wanting to vomit AND AT THE SAME TIME experiencing the hangover. All sounds are magnified as if they came from a megaphone. All sights are seen through a drug enduced blurry, but with bright colors and sharp shapes. Every part of my body aches with pain.
And apparently I am one of the lucky ones. My mother and my sister get violently ill as well. And they have both tried taking different migraine medicines to alleviate the pain. Nothing works, just makes them sicker.
Finally passed out last night praying, no begging, that I didn’t wake up with the damn thing. Honestly, I never really know.
Woke up without the migraine, but with a huge knot in my right neck and shoulder along with a really awful headache in my right ear. Felt like a really bad ear ache. Was so close to calling in sick. But I didn’t feel it was bad enough to do so. Ugh, the guilt. I just kept crying all the while getting dressed for a day that could easily go from bad to worse in little time.
Thankfully, after lunch it has subsided to a dull ache. The knot in my right neck and shoulder is still there, but sadly I am used to the pain. Looking forward to going home and vegging in front of the tv tonight. Definitely going to be one of those nights I can’t wait to get into my pjs. Hoping to sleep in tomorrow and wake up feeling refreshed and somewhat normal.
It would be really nice if it rained. With my alergies, I can always tell when the barometric pressure is high just by the pain in my sinuses. It is always alleviated when it rains. We have been overcast for days now. All the dust and dirt have been flying around in the air the last couple of days screwing with me.
