- first cup of coffee and my second and third . . .
- meows (from me or my cats)
- jumping into bed with clean sheets and burrowing into a cocoon for the night
- my dad saying, “Baby, baby are you okay?” in that completely understanding, very tender, loving voice that only he has.
- listening to the same song over and over again until i know the words by heart
- my mother knitting me stuff – scarves, shrugs, headbands (they should have a professional hobbyist job and get paid for it)
- singing my favorite song at the TOP OF MY LUNGS
- new pajamas
- my niece telling me she misses me (our last conversation consisted of at least 15 “i miss yous” in a row)
- having two days off in a row (seriously people, what a concept completely foreign to the retail workers)
- cussing
- using the words, (like) seriously and totally (threw in the like for my mom who hates this word)
- cracking open a brand, spankin, new book (and sniffing the bindin, paper and ink)
- cereal
